operate at the cutting edge of equipment and sealant development and
fuel tank diagnostics. We work closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers
(OEM's) and specialist Sealant Manufacturers to develop a range of
specific equipment and procedures to meet maintenance and AOG requirements.
Tank Devils operate using a variety of sealants from conventional
Polysulphides that require heat and humidity right through to the
new 1820 range of non-temperature dependant sealants. This allows
us to now cure fuel leaks on ramp any time of year without the need
for expensive heated hangar facilities.
All sealants that we use are approved within the Aircraft Maintenance
manuals and provide a permanent fuel leak repair. We can also carry
out full tank sealant strips using either conventional hand techniques
or using the latest water stripping equipment, after the strip a
new layer of sealant is applied giving the tank increased longevity
which leads to potential reduced total ownership costs.
More recently we have moved into the Polyurethane Sealant market
and now offer EFC100 Sealants that are much stronger and longer
lasting than traditional Polysulphide sealants.
EFC-100 has significantly higher tensile/elongation properties,
especially after fuel and heat exposure and is also 33% lighter
in weight than other conventional Polysulphide sealants.
